SPRING This wooded hillside in Pennsylvania was cleared to accommodate a new home. The challenge was to integrate it back into the landscape. |
|
SUMMER Almost 10,000 plants were installed to control erosion on this hillside and bring this property back into balance with nature. Waterlily star magnolias were chosen to grace the driveway entrance because of their late bloom time to keep the flower buds from freezing in early Spring. |

AUTUMN In conjunction with all the other ornamental characteristics of these plants, they were also chosen for autumn hues. At the entrance pillars, leadwort (Ceratostigma plumbaginoides) was used as a groundcover for its blue flowers all summer long and maroon foliage in Autumn. |
